"DataSecure provides a rich range of encryption methods and role-based security that can be mapped to SQL or LDAP databases. It also nails auditing. You easily see anything that's ever been done in the system, including failed encryption attempts, configuration changes, and system reboots.... Overall, an excellent solution for protecting sensitive enterprise data." - InfoWorld

Clearent Deploys Ingrian Solutions to Protect Customer Data,
Meet PCI Compliance

Payment processor selects Ingrian DataSecure Platform to encrypt sensitive cardholder information for its comprehensive, cost-effective solution and ability to expand with needs

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.– May 7, 2007 – Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced that Clearent, a provider of debit- and credit card payment processing to independent sales organizations (ISOs) and agent banks, has selected Ingrian DataSecure Platforms to protect confidential cardholder data collected during digital transactions.  Additionally, Clearent also selected Ingrian for its secure key management and flexible architecture, which will allow the technology to scale as its IT environment grows and expands into new data elements.

“We pride ourselves on our commitment to cardholder data security, and after reviewing solutions that would meet our stringent requirements, we were pleased to select Ingrian as our partner,” said Dan Geraty, CEO of Clearent. “We were very impressed with Ingrian’s centralized approach to key management and commitment to developing a strategic security plan with us before implementation.”

Despite PCI regulations going into effect in 2005, data breaches are still a major threat to the payment card industry. Data breaches generally occur because of poor key management and failed encryption strategies. Ingrian’s hardware-based solutions provide users an advantage by enabling centralized key storage within the appliances and requiring multiple administrators to be involved in policy changes.

“We’re very pleased that Clearent, with its depth of experience as well as its vision for next-generation payment processing, has chosen Ingrian to secure its sensitive data,” said Robert Steinkrauss, CEO of Ingrian Networks. “We strongly believe that the security encryption provides is not derived from software or a device alone, but as the result of careful planning. As our customer, Clearent can be confident not only in its encryption strategy, but in its ability to expand the company and not have to worry that their security infrastructure will be compromised.”
