Ingrian Expands Support for International Languages

Flagship DataSecure Platforms now offer multi-byte encryption support for a variety of languages

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., USA—January 23, 2006— Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, today announced multi-byte encryption support for international languages for its DataSecure® Platforms.  The latest product release, available now, will allow users to encrypt sensitive data in multiple languages, including Japanese and Korean, enabling multi-national companies and enterprises in these regions to better secure their sensitive information. The enhanced support for international languages comes on the heels of the company signing an exclusive distribution agreement in September 2005 with Macnica Networks Corp., a leading distributor and integrator of computer and communications equipment in Japan.

In Japan and around the world, organizations are being confronted with a mandate to secure sensitive employee and consumer information, and recently enacted legislation in Japan has brought the issue of securing sensitive data to the forefront for local businesses. Japan’s Personal Information Protection Act, which went into effect on April 1, 2005, mandates that all Japanese businesses “ensure that personal data is kept secure from loss and unauthorized access and disclosure.”
