Ingrian and Paymetric Partner to Offer Comprehensive Encryption Solution for SAP Environments
SAP Encryption Solution Encrypts Credit Card Data with Robust and
Centralized Key Management
HOUSTON, Tex. and REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — September 12, 2007— Ingrian® Networks, Inc., the leading provider of data privacy solutions, and Paymetric, Inc., a leading provider of innovative payment card software for enterprise systems, today announced a joint partnership to provide a comprehensive encryption solution for securing and managing encrypted credit card data across enterprises with SAP environments.
This new partnership combines Ingrian’s high-performance DataSecure® Platform and Paymetric’s breakthrough XiSecureTM encryption management software. Through their shared technologies, the companies offer an integrated encryption solution with secure and centralized key management to protect sensitive data and meet data privacy mandates.
Organizations that store, process, or transmit credit card information are faced with greater challenges and mounting industry pressures to manage and protect data against fraud and theft. The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)mandates that companies protect credit card data wherever it resides in their enterprise. But these organizations face rising costs and complexity when it comes to encrypting credit card numbers and managing encryption keys.
“This partnership with Ingrian is exciting, as it results in a powerful solution that enables our customers to more quickly and affordably meet PCI requirements,” said Ken Naumann, Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at Paymetric. “Ingrian’s encryption appliance and our XiSecure solution will provide real cost savings and introduce a new level of data protection.”
Paymetric’s XiSecure replaces credit card numbers from business applications such as SAP with randomly generated tokens. The credit card numbers are then stored in a centralized, highly secure system where they will be encrypted using Ingrian’s best-in-class encryption and key management solution – Ingrian DataSecure® Platforms. Ingrian DataSecure® Platforms are the only appliance-based encryption solutions available today that feature granular, field-level encryption capabilities and that can be integrated at the Web server, application server, or database layer.
This joint partnership provides organizations with significant benefits, including:
“We’re very pleased to be partnering with Paymetric as our combined offerings will offer tremendous value to our joint customers,” said Michael Howard, CEO of Ingrian Networks. “Toward that end, we’ve created both a product architecture and ISV program that make it efficient for partners to leverage our technology. Our partnership with Paymetric provides a great example of how this approach benefits customers: together we can deliver unprecedented value and security to customers running their businesses on SAP.”
This partnership is enabled through Ingrian’s CHOICE architecture, which represents the technology and core values that Ingrian offers to its customers. CHOICE is a flexible, integrated approach that allows customers to not only implement the solution they need today, but to leverage their investment to address future security and technological challenges—whether by adding new capabilities offered by Ingrian or its partners.
